The Genesis Cinema are holding a special screening of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom to celebrate the 30th anniversary. This screening will also include a Q&A with the producer, Robert Watts, and art director, Alan J Cassie.
I’d love to go along to this, who doesn’t love Indy? I don’t think I ever saw an Indiana Jones film at the cinema so this is the perfect chance to see it up on the big screen.
The screening is on Sunday September 14th 3pm, tickets are £20 available here
A Shared Fact: While filming the whipping scene, the crew played a practical joke on Harrison Ford. While he was chained to a large stone, Barbra Streisand appeared, dressed in a leather dominatrix outfit. She proceeded to whip him, saying “That’s for Hanover Street, the worst movie I ever saw.” She continued whipping him for Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope , and making all of that money. Carrie Fisher then threw herself in front of Ford to protect him, and Irvin Kershner chided director Steven Spielberg. “Is this how you run your movies?” This entire sequence was filmed. – I want to see this!
