About

My name’s Moxie and I’m a film nerd living in Welwyn Garden City in Hertfordshire.

Growing up I lived in the wilds of Scotland and with few friends near by to play with I discovered films.
When I was very young my parents owned a video rental store so from day one I’ve been surrounded by films. Films were my childhood and I’m totally ok with that. It’s the love of films that started out when I was a little girl that has led to me starting this website.
I’ve always kept my film discussions to my husband and friends but I decided to take the leap and see if other people feel the same way about certain films.
I also wanted a place to share all the cool stuff I see on my travels around the web.

As a final girl, I love horror and want to see women given a fair shake in film and TV.
My day job is Film Critic for The Garden City Cinema in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire.

*Disclaimer
I’m not your typical geeky girl.
Honestly, I’m not. I’ve read maybe 4 comics in my life. I am not a fan of Firefly, I don’t watch Adventure Time, I own no Bazinga! clothing and I’ve never read Harry Potter.
Books.
Film, that’s my bread and butter.

    Hello Moxie,

I’ve been reading your film writings and was wondering if you would you be interested in writing something about my zero budget feature film “Django Away!”

    Email me for more info,

    Daniel

Some classic write ups. Thanks to films on wax for retweeting you! *quick plug* – If you (or your readers) are interested in art in anyway, check out my own site http://www.apicturetellsatale.com to see some (not all!) horror paintings. 🙂
