Terry and Brenda

Terry and Brenda 2                      “You can’t choose your family, but you can choose your victims.”

Terry and Brenda is a short film by Jamie Hooper who is also the co-founder of the award winning Fingercuff Productions. The short has been entered into some festivals and I hope it gets a good reception.

The film is about a couple who have some kinky and unusual nighttime habits. Everything starts off perfectly normally although from the start there’s a Fred and Rosemary West vibe about the pair and that’s before we get to see what they like to do of an evening.

Tim Blackwell and Debra Baker do a great job as the two dysfunctional leads and a mention must go to Lucy Hutchinson who is seen briefly but delivers an extra dark dimension to the storyline.

I didn’t watch the teaser trailer before I watched the short so I had no idea what to expect. I was impressed with the style and quality of the short and it does a great job of building tension and unease throughout.
